People with more Pitta in their constitutions, has a strong body structure and a slow digestion. Kapha is responsible for biological strength, natural tissue resistance, and proper body structure.

It also governs lubrication in the mind and body. It controls weight, growth, lubrication for the joints and lungs, and formation of all the seven tissues: nutritive fluids, blood, fat, muscles, bones, marrow and reproductive tissues. A Kapha person has empathy and endurance, and is stable and relaxed.

When Kapha is out of balance, too much earth has accumulated in mind, body, and environment. The result is health problems like allergic reactions, problems with mucous membrane, and suffering from depression. The best way to balance excess a Kapha is to bring more movement and circulation into the physiology.
